Where the Wild Things Are
Happy Tuesday, Lion Cubs! Welcome back for another edition of Long Distance Library! Today's lesson is all about wild things and monsters. Click here for my daily video and then I've got some great stories to share. I hope you enjoy! |
When I was little, just like you, this was my favorite book. I still have my copy of the book that I've held onto for a very long time now. This was such a popular book that it was made into a movie a few years ago. I found this version of the story read aloud on Storytime with Ryan and Craig. So, click here if you'd like to watch Ryan and Craig read aloud one of my favorite books, Where the Wild Things Are. |
Now let's go from wild things to monsters. I bought a copy of I Need My Monster a while back. And then I found a wonderful version of it on Storyline Online. And then, I saw that there was a sequel to the first book. The sequel is called Hey, That's My Monster! and I was so happy to see that it made it onto Storyline Online, too. If you like strange and kinda-scary monsters, then you are going to enjoy these two books as well. You can click here to go straight to Storyline Online, or you can click the individual links below to listen to each book.
I know you have never ever thought your teacher was a monster. Right? Well, Peter Brown wrote a book about a kid who did think his teacher was a monster and it's called My Teacher is a Monster! This book is lots of fun, as most Peter Brown books are. We're going back to Storytime with Ryan and Craig for a read aloud of one last monster book today. Click here for a fun story about a teacher who may, or may not, be a monster! |
